Elk bugling

Hey guys, I'am dying hear waiting to go elk hunting with the bow. Has anybody heard any bugling yet or seen any with the velvet off yet. I've got three weeks to kill till I head to Montana. Need some good "jas me up" info to hold me over,

I've been up in the hills the last couple of weekends and the big bulls I've seen are all browned up. Saw a bachelor herd of 18 bulls last weekend down in the gila and all but 4 were hard horned and brownin up.

Check out the pics I posted last weekend how big is big general hunting. I was in to a heard last weekend it had six bulls in it a couple of them were squeeling pretty good. Any time after the first of the month. If they come in early enjoy. Watch for the dark days. The amount of light that hits the eyes triggers the rut. Cold is usually asociated with dark days. It has been way cool this year. Wa la.
