Just got back from the General Anybull Elk hunt here in Utah. Thought you guys might like to see the pics of our successfull trip. The shooting started at first light saturday morning and was done 5min later. The two bulls were in the same herd and where put done 350 yard from each other, My dads is a 3point and my buddys is a small 5 point. Took the rest of the day getting meat back to camp, and boneing them out. The snow came in and started putting it down that afternoon. So we decided to leave a day early, packed up sunday morning and hiked out. We were in about 10 miles on horses. Not to shabby for a DIY pack in hunting trip, on public land. Should be good eatin.

great job on the bulls!!!!!

I was wondering the same thing, how long is the barrel on that rifle, looks awefull long? Congrats to you fellas on getting the Bulls and enjoying yourselves.

I believe it is a 28" barrel I'll double check tonight when I go over to cut up the meat for the freazer. It is a Win 7mm. I cow called the 3pt to with in 100 yards from 400, where he is laying in the picture is where he was standing when he shot. Didn't move an inch. The 5pt was at 350yds when Our buddy shot it.

Nice pics, I know your buddy, he is an older brother to one of my good friends. Congrats on the hunt, looks like fun.

Measured my dads rifle last night after cutting up some of the meat, it is a 25" barrel if we measured it in the right spot. Thanks for all the comments. Yea it was a lot of fun, the area is great, nothing better than being a beautifull place like that and then to beable to have it all come together and have a successful hunting trip as well.
