RE: Casey's 4B Arizona Bull
First I would like to thank Lucas for posting the pics. This bull was harvested by my buddy Casey not me, I was picture taker, caller, and grunt. After returning to the truck on Monday morning we heard a whiny bugle in the opposite direction we had just returned from. We thought it was probably a spike or raghorn but decided to check it out. The bull was moving at a fast pace down the other side of the ridge we were on and after a half mile or so he was leaving us in the dust. We figured we would never catch up to him when suddenly he made a 180 and headed back up the ridge. We were able stay with him now but couldn't see him through the thick trees and brush. As he started to leave us behind again I gave a soft call on the sceery cow call and he stopped in his tracks. After about 40 minutes of soft calls every 10 minutes or so we could see glimpses of the bull coming our way. When he got to the bottom of the canyon and started up our side I could hear Casey asking me if he was big enough? In my loudest hissing whisper I told him "shoot"em!,shoot'em!!". The bull stopped at 10 yards to feed and Casey pulled the trigger. The bull traveled about 50 yards after the shot. He grosses 338 and nets 326.
