Minox spotting scope

Just wondering if any of you have used one, and if so what you thought or think of it. How does it compare to the others out there?

Chad, I cannot comment on the spotting scope but my hunting buddy has a pair of 8 x 42 binoculars by minox and they are high quality. I assume that the spotting scope would be also. Goodluck. fatrooster.

I spent some time looking through one at the RMEF camp in Reno last Feb and was very impressed. It was the best spotter for under $1000. Spend the extra $100 and get the one with the "ED" glass, it's worth it, very close (opticly)to a Zeiss or Lecia.

Thank you very much, I have a friend that is looking at getting a new scope and I thought the Minox might be a good choice for the money! I ahve the 15x58 binos with the ED glass and they are some fine binos for sure!

I have the 62ED. I have only used it a couple of times and have not compared it next to any quality spotters. I will say it is sharp and bright. I really like the 20x eyepiece. The only thing that could be better is, it could be easier to focus at the higher powers. I chose this scope after alot of opinions from people that have compared the different scopes, I am very happy with the scope and cannot wait for elk season next year.
