Guiding your wife on her first hunting trip ever and watching over her shoulder as she drops a 6 point bull in his tracks at 309 yards.....PRICELESS!

Congrats and good job on getting your priorities in line!! Seems like you have put together a good recipe for long term happiness.

The only reason a guy would have to choose is because the wife makes him. Congrats on a nice bull and a women that enjoys your passion for hunting.

Congrats on all points. Does you wife give shooting lessons??

venor, ergo sum (I hunt, therefore I am)

When she starts giving lessons, I'll be the first in line! The first time we shot her rifle I couldn't believe how good she was. I was the Platoon High Shooter in Marine Corps boot camp, and a 5th award Expert by the time I got out a couple of years ago & she still out-shoots me most of the time.
My favorite part of the story is that she grew up in an urban area of California and had next to no exposure to the outdoor lifestyle. This is a whole new ball game to her, but she likes it plenty. And she doesn't ##### when I'm gone for almost the whole four weeks of the archery season.

NickJ,

My wife is about the same as yours. Was born in CA, moved to Nevada to get away from the crime and congestion in Modesto. She shoots - almost - as good as I do and really loves to hunt.

really great! congrats to you both - beautiful picture great bull

my wife out shoots me too.

her record is two shots two cow elk - seems like it takes me 3 shots to get settled down.
