I drew a 61 deer tag, begining next week. If any elk hunter from that unit can spare some info. concerning mule deer seen during the hunt, it will be much appreciated. Thanks.
there are deer and elk in that unit. ok if it gets hot around high 50's or low 60's you need to go up to abnout 11 thousand feet. which is above windy point. you can do this by just driving on divide road. but if its cold go into mesa creek and look carefully and watch the beaver ponds colsely in the morning and night if nothing you need to drop down into a canyon with the thick pinoins to get a decent size buck. this area is all down hill so if you go down it make sure you can get back up it
