Do any of you hunt in Colorado's unit 55 in the taylor lake area? I heard there is some hunting pressure there. I was hoping to talk to someone who's been there before or hunts there.
I've never hunted 55 elk but if it is a general elk unit expect to have lots of company! If you decide to hunt it make sure to get off the beaten track and away from roads or you will be frustrated with all the orange and few critters!
You can expect to be hunting with 10,000 of your closest friends (most of which are from out of the area.) The bulls that you DO see will be running by you at mach 5 with their tongues hanging out.
Sounds like I'm exagerating, but I've seen it. Never hunted it, but have seen it.
