With all these monsters being harvested the last 5 to 10 years, is it time to raise the minumum score to say 380 or more? What do you think?

hmmm I dunno, how many bulls 380 or more were killed (not harvested) this year?

American Elk listed in the B&C book only 37 400 points or over typical..

only 506 typical elk total.. only 202.. 380 or less.. I think the bar is set pretty high.

regardless of what you read on the internet I think very few bulls killed every year are over 375

<all numbers may be off a little because its Sat night>

Heck No!! In order for a Bull to make the Boone And Crockett ALL Time Record Book a Typical Bull must net 375 and a Non typical 385, very very few Bulls harvested will meet this standard. In a statement that i read it said that "since the year 2000 Utah has recorded 38 Bulls in the record books",that is an extremeley low percentage If you think how many total limited entry tags (Archery,Rifle,Muzzleloader) have been issued since then.Even if you draw that Limited entry tag your chances of killing a Bull that makes the book is extremely low. There is always alot of talk about all the book Bulls being harvested but until there recorded its just talk!

You guys are right, I've scored guy's 390-400 bulls that in reality grossed 360-370 and netted 350-360.I like it when they say " man I didn't know they dried down that much" lots of guys take the gross and add 10%(Never me ofcourse)and I'd say outfitters are the worst.so in the end there aren't that many 360+ net bulls taken anyway so I wouldn't want to set the bar so high that it's hopeless to try. besides,if you raised it that much my bull wouldn't make it!

THe only thing they need to raise is the Whitetail typical...something 13413435234523 new bucks every year make that book....

I am going to be realistic and stick with 350+. There are no 380+ bulls they have all died of old age or so we've been told.

just because it says it "green scored" or "gross scored" some huge number or it was a certain "class" in a magazine, don't mean it really did. i seldom ever look at magazines because all of em are about 75% BS. all of em. and when i do and i see any of these 3 terms, greens score, gross score, or class, i lay it down, because it's just another buncha bs. i was lookin' at a mgaazine at my kids house last night. had a "360" bull in an outfitters add that would be a stretch to go 300, gross. no way it'd net that much. sorta like alla the 180 pound lions you see in magazines.

Up the score minimum? Heck in my neck of the woods a 340 class bull is rare and a 380 class bull is about as big as they grow! I've yet to break the 310 mark and I hope I can at least break the 350 class mark by the time I die!!! So I guess they can up the score all they want because there are a lot of us who will never get a chance at a "booner" with the minimum set where it's at now!
