Southern Utah Elk?

I.am new to the area and was wondering how far south the elk go in Utah. I moved to Kanab and was wondering how far I will have to travel to find a huntable herd of elk. Although the bulls in Orderville look pretty good to me. Any help would be great

I never seen them below the cliffs(white or pink)!
Most Elk hunting LE up their anyway!
West of you around the park (privite prop,mostly)is good

I have access to alot of property next to the park but everyone tells me that there are no elk any where close

Welcome to Kanab, Once in a while you can find a nice bull close to the AZ/UT state line on the pauns..and over to the west there a few elk around the Mineral area,(west of Mt. Carmel) but private property all over.

Here is a bull grandpa got a few years back less then a mile from the state line 10 miles east of town on the pauns. He's a big'un

Duck Creek or Up on the south side of the road by ceder breaks or rainbow ridge just don't go on private property.
