The Clark County Jr. Livestock Assoc is raffling off a Landowner Bull Elk tag for the best unit in Nevada - Units 111-115, 221, & 222. There is also a Guided Mtn Lion Hunt, 2 rifles, binoculars, and a range finder in the raffle. Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased by calling Reese Hoy at 702-348-6497 Raffle will be held on April 8, 2005.
These landowner tags sell for $10,000. If you are a nonresident you will have to purchase an Elk tag for $1200.00 from the State of Nevada. This is a landowner tag -- you can choose to make it an archery, rifle, or muzzleloader tag and then hunt that season.
I hunted this unit last year. I drew the tag - the odds are miserable. What an incredible hunt. Big bulls every day. I killed a 375 bull on the 14th day in the field.
The money is going to a good cause and if you are the lucky winner - it is the elk hunt of a lifetime!
