NvrEnuf posted a great pic of his little guy so I thought I'd throw in a pic of mine. I took this last year.

Whenever I get a good pic I like to make a magazine cover out of it and paste it onto an actual magazine for the coffee table. I'll include headings and such that elude to details and memories of the events that took place during that season.

WesternKS,

That is awesome....my little huntin buddy is on its way....He will be here in May. I would appreciate the same request as the others...I would love to be able to do that as well. Here is my email address [email protected]

Thanks,

Thanks fellas.

I use 2 different graphics programs:
Photoshop 7 (for raster images such as the picture)
Coreldraw 10 (for the text elements and layout)

Here is the process in a nutshell.

1. Scanned Outdoor Life logo and address barcode and saved as separate layers in Photoshop. Scanned @ 400 DPI.
2. Added a sepia tone to original picture (taken with digital camera) and cut out gun barrel and head area so it would overlap magazine logo, saved as a separate layer in photoshop. Saved other pictures as photoshop layers.
3. Created magazine sized document in Coreldraw 10 and imported photoshop images created previously. Added text elements to the document.

That's it!
