Rare, Beautiful, and Incredible Cat

This incredible photo of a cornered jaguar was taken recently in southern Arizona. The hunter must have been very surprised to see what the dogs brought in when he got to the end of this hunt. The dogs and hunter most assuredly beat a hasty retreat once this photo was taken for proof and posterity.
Jaguar used to be a regular part of B&C's Records Program until their limited numbers and range demanded they be afforded special protection. Jaguar listings are still a part of B&C's records books, but now represent more of a piece of history than current hunting opportunity.

No Gut's...No Story!!!

stickerpt,

Well said, people need to do more searching than just keep posting the same thing over and over.

I searched the past 4 pages of the MM archives, and didn't see it,and then...being the date on the B&C webpage article said Feb. 18th 2007, I presumed that it was most recent.Didn't know that we had to be "Holier Than Thou".
Honest enough mistake.

No harm done widowmaker. Didn't you see my smiley.
Just thought you would like to see the other pictures
and read the story about the cat.

I hadn't seen the other pics, and thank you for sharing them, they are some incredible pics,man-what an opportunity!!!

No Gut's...No Story!!!

Post em if you got em. Screw the search before you post crybabys. If a guy has to do a search every time he wants to post anything no one would post anything.

Great pictures. I studied on this a little. Been a fairly well kept secret that Jaguars still frequent all border States. Sure it hasn't gotten around due to keeping poachers out of the loup, but there are certain small areas they regularly visit.

With all the effort (& money) they put in to wolves, and they aren't really endangered, and much harder to control. I wish the next big "push' would be to bring back a sustainable population of these majestic cats. A hundred or so Jaguars, and enough Coues & Muleys to keep them feed, living in So Cal, Az. and New Mexico. Maybe it would keep the border crossers in check..
