San Juan 6 points?

Does anyone know of anyone else that has drawn for limited entry on the San Juan Elk Ridge with only 6 points? Thats what I have and I know my chances are slim to none, just curious if anyone has ever gotten lucky?

Who has drawn a great tag with very little points?
Where and how many points?

I drew Monroe Archery last year with 3 pts. I know a lady that drew San Juan early last year with 5 pts. Every year a big unit or two has people with 0 points draw. Can't remember the weapon, but somebody drew San Juan last year with 0 points. Might have been Archery.

Anyway, more points in Utah helps, but if you run the numbers and odds on the big units, they don't help you that much or as much as people often think. With 1000's of apps sometimes, it truly is a lottery unless your at max.

Sure, drop me a line at [email protected] with any questions. My wife's family (Julanders) has a cabin on top of the mountain and we visit down there in the summer all the time. Already anxious to get back up the mountain and also for the results. We've drawn 7 tags in 5 years (6 archery and 1 late).
