San Juan Elk

A good friend just called and he said he got a letter form the DWR saying he drew one of the Dedicated Hunter permits and it's for San Juan elk early rifle season. What a lucky SOB! I am going to help him on his hunt but niether of his is too familar with San Juan. Can any body point us in the right direction? We are planning a few scouting trips this summer.

Mark, I also drew the LE Early Rifle for San Juan. I have been on the phone talking to a lot of people and have recieved tons of positive feedback. I will leave you a PM so we can talk.

MBM, I have contacted KK and we are both under the same impression that if we come together with other LE San Juan tags and share info pertaining to the San Juan unit, that we should have no problem getting top quality bulls. We will all be down there at the same time any way and we will find a way to communicate. Let's come together as a group, instead of thinking that we all have that one secret spot.
