i have a pair of zeiss 15x60's and the rubber caps have torn loose where the attach to the binoculars, has anybody else had a problem like this. no rough handling and I've had them for about 15 years. also does anybody know where to buy a zeiss or comparable tripod adapter? I lost the one I had and would love to find another. PS this is a wonderful website. keep up the good work.

I had similar experiences with the pair I had. I reattached the covers with the clear RTV Silicon Rubber Cement and it worked fine. Seems like an outfit called RG Machine in the Phoenix area made a rugged tripod adapter for the big binos. Outdoorsman in Phoenix would surely have what you're looking for.
Good Luck

The Outdoorsman in Phoenix will have the adaptor. It is better than the factory one. It is steady, no vibration. Also, you might have to send your 15's to the factory to get the caps to be like knew. I have not had this problem, but have a much newer pair. I will have to take precaution with the caps. CDN

either the Outdoorsman or Jim White of Uni-Daptor. 928-635-5316 is Jims number. He has tripods and adapters for all brands. He machines many of these himself..... Thanks, Allen Taylor......
