Good Alternative to buying expensive optics

I read this in the AZ Republic this morning. Not sure if someone already does this but it is the first time I've seen it. Good idea anyway.

There was another article in the paper that I couldn't find on line that gave some info on a bighorn hunt that I guy went on. He rented 3 sets of 15X Swarovski's, 3 30-60X Swarovski spotting scopes (for his 3 spotters hunting with him), and wall tent for one week. He paid just over $1100. Not bad for all that equipment that would have cost close to $13K if he would have bought it.
