Does anyone know if the ute indians are still stealing elk from out there and selling them? That was a good area until they started rounding them up with helicopters.

WELL!!!

I MIGHT BE ABLE TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION!!!

BETWEEN CAPTURING & SELLING,LATE COW-KILLER HUNTS ON BOTH TRIBAL & WHITE MAN LANDS THEY'VE KNOCKED THIS HERD DOWN LIKE YOU AIN'T NEVER SEEN!!!

THEY ONLY CAPTURED & SOLD ELK FOR TWO YEARS!!!

THE DEAL WAS THEY'D CAPTURE 400 HEAD IN A 2 YEAR PERIOD!!!

THE PROBLEM IS THEY TOOK 4,000!!!

SOME PEOPLE CLAIM THEY TOOK AS MANY AS 6,000 OFF THE SLOPE!!!

THE SLOPE COULD OF BEEN AS GOOD AS ANY LE UNIT IN THE STATE WITH PROPER MANAGEMENT!!!

THERE ARE STORIES THEY'RE GOING TO CAPTURE MORE ELK IN THE FUTURE!!!

THE ONE CHOPPER THEY USED TO NET THE ELK WITH ENDED UP WITH BULLET HOLES IN THE BELLY,WOULD YOU LIKE TO PILOT THIS???

THE ONLY bobcat THINKING THE DWR SHOULD OF HAD BALLS ENOUGH TO STOP THEM AT 400 HEAD BUT THEY DIDN'T!!!

For three years before they started their roundup we killed good bulls every year up near Jackson park and Crow Creek Canyon after that it was hard to find anything and we havent been back since. The year it started i talked to the dwr and they said that the only one who could stop it was gov. leavitt and he didnt have enough guts to do so.

The indians didn't have much to do with the slope elk herd's current condition and head counts.

It has been the tremendous increase in huge Muley bucks with 200 plus inch racks running the elk out of there......

Someday I'll draw the Highly Coveted Northeastern Buck tag...

JakeH!!!

NO PERMITS HERE!!!

AS USUAL!!!

PleaseDeer!!!

IF & WHEN YOU DRAW THE NE REGION & PULL THAT 200"+ BUCK LET ME KNOW!!!

I FORGOT THATS WHY THE ELK ARE DOWN,TOO DAMN MANY DEER!!!

THE ONLY bobcat HUNTING THE LAND OF THE NOMAD BUCK,AGAIN!!!

Yep, they can do about what they want, on or off the res when it comes to big game. They pulled a similar stunt a few years ago in the Book Cliffs. Issued a bunch of tribal permits for the 'whiteman's area'. No one did a d**n thing.

Hey Bobcat,

You know my cousin Jed B. from the little town that starts BON and ends with an ITA.

Well my folks live in that large metropolis that starts with and N and ends with an A and has EOL in the middle and they had a spike and two cows winter near their property. My brother almost got the spike with his muzz, I don't know much about how many elk the tribe harvested with a helicopter but I do know that the bullet holes match in caliber to a particularly infamous hunter from the huge city that starts with an A and ends with a T and has an LTAMON in the middle. Apparently, the "HIGH COUNTRY TUNE-UP" also means "HIGH ALTITUDE".

ROY!!!

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

THE BULLET HOLES ARE REAL!!!

THE ONLY bobcat THINKING:FOR A SMALL PLACE IT SURE IS FAMOUS,LAND OF THE NOMAD BUCK YOU KNOW???

What do you mean did, they still hunt deer and elk every year on the bookcliffs off the Rez. The state gives them a certian portion off the top. They also get Moose and Elk tags on the Wasatch, and Goat tags in the Uintahs.

I vote we start shooting holes in the belly of the Califoria trucks in the basin between November and January. Atleast the Kiwis who trapped the elk got the point.

Raised near that beautiful city that starts with a W and ends in a rocks.
