Just sending out another note for all of you that are interested in sharing info on the San Juan. Both KK and I will be heading down this Memorial weekend and by the time this weekend is over, we will have plenty of info to share. Again if you have an early rifle tag and are interested, contact me with a PM and give me your phone number and e-mail address. I will be sending out periodic e-mails on where the 380-400 class bulls are hanging.
ONLY 17 WEEKS LEFT!!!

YA!!!

LET ME KNOW HOW MANY 380-400 BULLS YOU SEE THIS MEMORIAL WEEKEND!!!

THEY SHOULD BE BEHIND EVERY TREE BUT LET ME KNOW???

THE ONLY bobcat @ [email protected] !!!

If I was you, on this trip, I would come with the idea of getting to know the area, Because I'm pretty sure that nothing has grown out to the 380-400 class just yet...

good luck,
maybe we will see you on the mountain sometime, what do you drive?

I would also like to know how many of them big bulls (380-400) you see this weekend. Ive been up on elk ridge and the blues about everyday for the last month or so bear huntin and aint seen one that big yet. Hell even had my dogs bay up a few elk. But hey if by some slim chance you see one that big let us know.

My guess is they will just try and find some bulls, and the area's they hang in, and have alot of fun camping and sightseeing.

Give the guy a break- did he say he was going to look for 380 bulls this weekend? LOL.. hunting season needs to get here quick. You guys will pounce on anything!

Hey Travis
Did you come out with a video?? And what happened to your web page I havent been able to access it!!

Quack Away!!

HuntElk4Fun,
I really wasn't meaning to pounce on anyone, just giving some friendly advice. Most of the big bulls down here right now are starting the g5's or somewhere in that area...

On a typical year the larger bulls are done growing by mid to late July. At least that is what we have seen in years past. That's when we start tying them all up....lol j/k

again, good luck scouting and well probably see ya on the unit some time.

more later

Travis is sure right on that, I mean on the part they start tying them up, they sure have killed some great bulls the last several years.Heck any time you can go up on the mountain is a good time. How's the deer looking down that way.

Well Travis
Did you come out with a new video??

We have plenty of never seen footage/hunts, so we are hoping later this summer early fall. We will be airing all new shows Oct. 06, with Reel Outdoors "Hunting" on the sportsman channel nation wide, and Comcast in Utah.
So we hope to have the video out before we start airing the shows.

I WON'T BE DOWN THERE TILL FALL!!!

JUST KNOWING THERE ARE 380"+ BULLS BEHIND EVERY TREE & ME NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE THEM 1/2 SPROUTED IS KILLING ME!!!

THE ONLY bobcat WAITING FOR THE BIG BULL REPORT!!!

Ruts a wondering how is it that Bess gets to go down this fall, Have you a permit or?? Rimrock was talking about needing a trigger man?? But then I don't know if ya could handle the excitement!! I can see it now Bess and Rimrock go off hunting, Rimrock shows up back at camp packing a big ol stinky bull on his back. Everyone asks where is Bessy? Rim says well he had a stroke back on the trail about 5 miles. And so you left him there they ask? Yeah I did says Rimrock. I didn't figure anyone would steal Bessy!!

Rut,CAPITOL "R"!!!

HOW MANY KOOL-AIDS DO YOU THINK IT WOULD TAKE BEFORE RIMROCK WOULD NEED A TRIGGER MAN???

WE COULD HAVE YOU FILM THE WHOLE SHOW!!!

WE COULD ALWAYS EDIT THE SQEEZE OF THE TRIGGER!!!

I PROMISE RIMROCK I'D GIVE YOU THE MEAT,I'M ONLY IN IT FOR THE RACK!!!

THAT WAY WHEN I FINALLY DRAW I'LL GIVE YOU MY LE PERMIT,THEM BULLS WILL BE OLDER BY THEN RIGHT???

THE ONLY bobcat ONLY SHOOTING THEM S.J. BULLS WITH MY RANGEFINDER,I MAY HAVE TO HANG A LEFT ON THE WAY DOWN & CHECK ON RIMROCK & Rut TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE HUNTING & NOT PARTYING,THE PARTY DOESN'T START UNTIL I HAVE PULLED THE TRIGGER!!!

Gator, We ended up seeing 4 bulls and about 30 cows. The one bull has his 4's sprouting and his eyeguards come in till they look like they are almost going to touch. He should be a good bull in the fall. The wind was awful but we were able to cover a lot of ground. K&K were very very nice and were very knowlegeable about the area.
Thanks again for the map and I will keep you posted!!

I NEVER DID HERE THE BIG BULL REPORT!!!

JUST WONDERING WHAT ITS LOOKING LIKE???

I HEAR ITS PRETTY DAMN DRY DOWN THERE???

THE ONLY bobcat WONDERING IF YOU BOYS HAVE THEM TIED UP YET???

It is so dry down here right now that I think if you were to let off a dry fart you could start a fire?

We need rain in the worst way.

I hear they are seeing a few nice ones up on the mountain, and a few out around the CMU (spring creek).Herad they have seen a couple of nices ones out in Eastland too on private land, I think the drought will slow horn grow down some, a 380 last year might only be a 365 or 370 this year, hope for summer showers on the mountain.

Wasn't able to make it down this weekend. I did have a guy call me and tell me that he spotted 32 bulls with one 360 up to this point. I think you are right about the growth but there should still be some good ones. I will make it a point to be down there over the 24th.

That about the same as I'm getting that they are starting to see a few that will score pretty good by the time the growing season is done. Let me know how you do scouting.
