Has anyone hunted the late Teanaway rifle bull hunt (Dec.23-Jan,5). I was just trying to decide on my elk choices and thought this might be a good hunt. Thanks,

This is a new hunt,I think it will depend on the weather all that lower teanaway is PRIVATE with no access would not surprise me if there were some pay to hunt ranches.

I would not waste your points on that hunt becasue most of the bull will be out of the teanaway at that time. If they are still up there they will be at he head of the valley and I know the owners and i dont think that anyone would have much luck getting permission.

I'm wondering if the game department know some land owners that will open their property to permit holders.

Access would be my concern, call the department and ask why they made the hunt dates that way, I'm sure they had a decent reason for doing it as that is a very unusual thing for them to do.

Thanks for the feed back and I am waiting to talk to the WDFW. I know that there will be a lot of private ground obstacles, but there is a significant amount of feel free to hunt private up there. I guess it will depend on the winter as well. It doesn't show up in red as a new hunt that is why I was curoius if anyone had hunted it before. Thanks again, I let you folks know what I here form the WDFW.

Feel free to hunt land in Teanway? Really? I've never seen any. I guess they didn't put that hunt in red like they would a new hunt because they've had Teanway bull permits in the past, but they've always been in October like all the other units. It looks like the late season has replaced the regular season permit they had before. I would have the same concerns as the others...mainly, a lack of access. There are several other bull permits I would take over this one.

I believe the land I am refering to is owned by AFR. American Forest Research. This is not my first choice by any means, buyt just trying to get some knowledge on the late season hunt. There are very few late season migratory bull hunts.
