Hello folks,
I've been reading the various comments and thought I'd chime in for a couple of notes.
I've only been hunting for about 5 years so I consider myself a rookie. I put in for 1st rifle in Colorado for unit 74 and got an either sex tag.
Can anyone point a newbie in the right direction on where to start looking? Planning to drive up 4th July weekend to check the area out. For reference, I hunted last year in mid Sept for the OTC Archery hunt at Kendell Mtn in Silverton but it was kind of warm and we didn't see any Elk (lots of nice Bucks though). Am I barking up the wrong tree in that area?
