ok so i noticed that everyone has there theories on where they think the next WR muley will be killed but what about the next WR elk? im clueless on this one.

AAAHHH Yes, the elusive pennsylvania subspecies. Maybe they would like some of our transplanted wolves to go with their transplanted elk, just to keep the natural balance you know. If they got room for elk why not wolves?

The next world record will come from Arizona.

It aint coming from Az. this year, too dry here to grow them horns this year, but the next wet year we have look out it just might happen... Az.,Ut. & NM. all have what it takes....

Geoff

Utah might have what it takes, but there arent't any bulls because they give out too damn many tags now!

I say the San Carlos here is AZ will get it.

Nah, it wont be on the reservation. It'll be in northern AZ again. And it will probably be in the next 5 years. I'll let you guys know when I get it!!!! I'll post pictures!!!!

Its a possibility, that one killed last year was frikkin ginormous!

You're kidding me right? Utah has more 350 plus bulls than any other state. There have been more B&C and P&Y entries in the last 5 years than any other state. You need to get out more. You must not be finding too many sheds. Maybe that's the problem, you are always looking down. No bulls in Utah?

but you also have to realize the world record is i think on the mid 400's so a 350 bull doesnt do the job

B&C typical...AZ
P&Y non-typ #1 and #2... AZ
502 SCI #1...AZ
Pending P&Y typical...AZ

Yep... AZ has it....

I'll bet the next record will be from the Kootenay region, British Columbia.

Big elk are big business. No matter what part of the country a bull pushing 390 or 400 is going to be kept close tabs on by a few people. I just can't see a 450 inch bull coming out of anywhere. Along with thr Broder buck I think they will never be beat. If I were to venture a guess it would be a recent transplant state like PA, NE or OK as others have said.

Yah, I realize that. The comment was directed towards monroemtnshedfreak's comment of "no bulls in Utah". I would bet that the next world record comes from Utah. Specifically San Juan Elk Ridge.

Easy. San Carlos with out a dought. The bulls that come out of the dry lake heard are unbelievable. Seen a picture of a bull from last year, that is still alive that will go mid to upper 400's. That is why these tags cost 30 grand.

Now that is quite a claim !! I'm not doughting you. Lets hope if it gets shot that the hunter has a "clean" tag so it won't end up hiddenaway like the Shipsey bull.

Atrain,
You hit the nail on the head. Results speak volumes, and AZ produces year after year. No new world record this year, but there will be 400+ bulls in AZ. Also, the rez bulls are huge and there are a few pictures floating around of a few bulls that any way you look at them won't score below 430.
