Idaho Super Tag!!!

Hello guys,
Another year with no luck in the controlled hunts, however as luck has it I drew a "Super Tag" for elk in the Access Yes lottery! My work begins, have some really good ideas where to start,however any advice would greatly be appreciated!!!
I have killed a few decent bulls over the last 16 years, now I am looking for a Hog!!!
Anyone here know a good videographer? Really hoping to find a big bull in velvet and living with him until season opens however, there's a four letter word in the way! WORK,
Anybody have some footage or maybe know a hot unit with monster bulls screamming their heads off? I can hunt any season any weapon!

I drew a good tag last year and had good time. It was not a rut hunt but I think you have a good shot at getting a good bull. The riffle hunt is in the middle of Oct. but you could maybe get one to talk to you. I think if you did your scouting you could pull a 350 or even better. For Idaho that is a good bull. Heck any where that is a good bull. The unit I am talking about is on the NV line and are NV elk. This is my bull I shot last year in Nov with a muzz.

First of all, congrats on a dream tag.

Unit 40 has a rifle rut hunt Aug. 30th to Sept. 30th. only 5 tags issued. There are some monster bulls out in the Owyhees. I would start there.
Unit 44 and 45 have some end of the rut rifle hunts that produce some super bulls every year.
Good luck and do some homework. I wish I had your tag.

units 40 for sure, then 54 after that, 44 and 45 have to much private property!! Great bulls in each unit, good luck!

Thanks alot for the advice guys,I had figured start in unit 40, south hills for starters then unit 44, keep heading East to 54 and maybe late along the Yellowstone boundries.
I know and realize how lucky I am, and I sure plan to find a Hog of a bull, I'll keep you all posted!

Different tag but similar thought but in reverse. I drew a rifle tag in NM 16A, 1st season. With your handle being gilabull it gives me the impression you might know something about the area I'm about to hunt. I would appreciate any info that you could share.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-12-06 AT 09:58PM (MST)[p]Make sure you dont overlook units 48 49 and 50 in your hunt east. Those units hold some monsters also.Also 36-a.
