Washingtons Dungeness Elk Area

I drew out for Dungeness E, Any bull, Sept. 1-30. It's an elk area just outside of Sequim composed of private land so the hunt will be a damage deal. I plan on heading over there to do my own leg work but if anybody has info to share that would be great...

All I know is there are alot of elk over there, killing one shouldn't be too much of a problem, share some pics from your success.

Actually I was just over there this last weekend. Took the family to the Game Farm over there, then some fishin' over in Sekiu. But, BS'd with a few of the locals about the elk herd around there of course. They say the herd is a little over 100....maybe. Some dandies for sure, but access is always a problem over there. I would make several trips over there, not just to scout but to get in good with the locals. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I think you're right, access will definitely be an issue. From what I understand, most of the landowners dislike the elk but still don't want to see them get killed. My work is cut out for me! If it works out the pics will be posted.

Lots of elk up there. I know the tag holders last year did real well. I think there are plenty of land owners up there who don't mind seeing the elk get killed. Sure there sre some that don't. My folks live just outside Sequim and I have seen the herd right in town quite a few times when we have been up to visit. Good luck.
