Elk Calls you can make in camp

I have used a kit where I make a new call each night in camp. At first I thought it would be hard, but is very easy. It takes me about 5 minutes and then I am ready for the next day. I do not feel bad about throwing the old one away since it was only $1.50 to make. Store bought ones cost much more and you try to use them as long as you can even when you lose performance out of them. Using a new call every day has improved my hunting and I highly suggest this kit.

The calls sound like they work, but that "cow urine soap" scares me. I'd hate to take a nap and wake with a horned-up bull getting ready to mount me...

If you are elk hunting and want to increase your chances... you try new things. If you use a spray elk cover scent and take a nap, do you take the clothing you sprayed and hang it in t tree away from where you are napping? I hunt in an area with a high density of wolves and have yet had one come near. The cow elk estrus scented soap works for me and I know there are others out there that will say the same. www.myelkcall.com also has a disclaimer that warns each hunter that they use their soap at your own risk just for the reasons you mentioned and don't blame them. Plus when using this soap the bulls have been bugling their heads off as they come in, so I would not worry about getting mounted while sleeping unless you are a very heavy sleeper.

I will never go hunting with out the ace in hand again.
