My dad has a wasatch early rifle tag. I have been really looking at as many photos as I can, looking on the B&C website, trying to be come a little better at judging Elk antler scores. Are there any places out there that I might be able to look at for tips on judging elk in the field. Thanks.

Mike Eastman has a book out that you can pick up at Sportsmans Warehouse for about $20.00 its called Elk Hunting the West The Eastman way. It has a section that goes into field judging Elk. It also comes with an instructional DVD. You can also buy it on their website here is the link to the book. I think it is a little bit less expensive at Sportsmans and you don't have to pay for shipping.

Look at as many bulls as you can and learn to classify them into general categories, ie that's a 320 bull, or 350 bull. I think it is pretty obvious once you've looked at alot and gotten their scores.

Thanks for the book recomendation. Does anyone now of a site on the net that you show lots of phots and the scores of those elk. I have been looking on this site. There are a lot of photos but no scores that I can compare. Thanks.
