despite the full moon and high heat, I managed to get a pretty good buck on 9/23, He was the biggest buck I saw in a week of hard hunting, I saw him at daybreak on Sunday morning and he gave me the slip, so I went after him again right at daybreak on Monday morning and jumped him out of a thick nasty draw, luckily he stopped up the hill and looked back over his shoulder down at the ridge I was on, so I put the crosshairs on him and torched one off, he dropped like a grand piano fell on his back from the 13th floor. It was a beautiful thing. I sent a pic of him to monstermulies, hopefully they can add it to this post, if not I have some pics of him on blacktailcountry.com. He is the first buck on the top left in the California field photos section.
