Hey just wanted to say I've been a long time reader here on monstermuleys and love the site but this is my first post. I was drawn for the later hunt in 44 for elk (oct 15-nov 9). Went up there this saturday and saw a few deer and no elk. Must confess we didnt do much serious hiking but were disappointed none the less. I've heard its a pretty good unit, but we were unable to access the area we had planned to scout do to private land issues. Just wondering if anyone would mind shedding a little light on where to look. I'm 16 and will be accompanied by my dad and brother on the hunt, don't mind hiking/taking horses into a nasty spot just as long as there are some elk. Thanks for any info you can provide.
