Did any of you see this mornings show and where they were hunting Elk I think in MT. The big bull sneaked out of the draw and over the hill from the hunter. He than went up to find the bull on another hillside and getting ready to lay down.
The bull was laying down when the hunter fired a shot and the bull never got up, BUT if you looked close you could see the air mist from the exit hole in the side, it happened twice before he was dead on the film. Pretty good footage and nothing was said about it on the tape either, wonder if they even noticed later?

Ya, I saw that. Pretty cool.

There was another show recently I think it was Jim Schockey guiding another guy hunting Moose in the NW territories. It wasn't Jim's show it was another one sponsored by one of the stores I think, but Jim's apparently on their pro-staff... anyway they shoot a huge bull and get a complete pass through on the shot. As the Bull trots off you can see these really big puffs of steam blowing 3 feet out the other side of the animal. They didn't mention anything either but it was quite the scene.

Ya I thought that was pretty cool myself. Did you catch last weeks episode with the huge deer the bowhunter took. Had some real nice bucks on film.

I know the cameraman. He and the crew at Ghost Stories produce a top notch program. I'll have to ask him about that hunt. mtmuley

Great show, I have to agree. The host seems kinda' loopie but that's the kind of guy i like to have at my campfire. Down to earth and doesn't talk too much. Just hunt their butts off and get it done! They have one of the best shows on the outdoor channel IMO.

Jim Benton's new show was a good one this week. They were hunting whitetails in Canada. (I know...zzzzzzzzz) But what was funny was he was hunting with like 6 buddies and... each time one of the guys filled a tag they'd post the score. It turned in to a contest after the first couple deer were taken. Anyway, the last two deer killed were Jim's(the host) and another guys. The other guys was the biggest one at like 160". The funny thing was they never showed what Jims deer scored. They posted a score for 6 deer taken that ranged from 127" to 160" but not the host of the shows deer. I guessed it in the 140" range. I guess he didn't want anyone to know that he LOST! Nice EGO there Jim Benton.

Ok guys... how many of you change the channel when a midwest whitetail or Alabama turkey show comes on... be honest. Unless its a Coues deer hunt, I'm workin' the clicker. I don't care what kind of turkey hunt it is, I'm changing the channel.

I Tivo any show that has anything to do with Sheep, Goats, Bison, Elk, Muleys, Pronghorns, Coues deer, Predators or New Zealand.

I'm with you. dvr is the greatest thing since indoor plumbing.
i use it for all my hunting shows, then i can weed through the good and bad. skipping commercials is the best!
i have given up on watching 90% of the whitetail shows and turkey shows.

Sorry I forgot to mention Moose.

I LOVE MY TIVO!!!! Monday night I go through the guide and find all the interesting shows for the week. Just like you said, NO COMMERCIALS.

Yep, I TiVo everything and work my way through the list and delete all Turkey and 95% of the Whitetail... I'll watch if their hunting Whitey's out West somewhere.
