What about Book Cliffs-Roadless???

I was reading the post below "Bookcliffs" and I read that those who posted seemed to agree that there weren't any "large" bulls over 330 on the unit. BUT, what about the roadless area? I'm thinking of putting in there next year with 8 points for archery....would it be a good draw? (If I was lucky enough) I'd be happy with a nice 350 bull.....
what do yall think???

We went in last year '05, and took one 320 bull and one 353 bull. I posted the pics once before. If you want I can post again. There are many bulls in the 320ish range, and a few bigger.

Its best to have somebody on mules/horses get you way back in there. The further back the better and bigger.

We've got Mules covered! So that will probably be to our advantage I guess. Here's hoping! :) Any other info/experience with the roadless area??

A friend of mine patroled the bookcliffs roadless for 15 years. He drew a tag last year when he retired. He shot a real nice 350 ish type bull. So what you have heard is about right. You can kill a 350 bull in the roadless, but it is work.

I hunted BC roadless in 96 with a buddy who killed a 310, but we saw a few others that were bigger, one shot from underneath us by a young girl, and another we just couldn't connect on, both were 340+.. I drew the tag in 97 and killed a 355. It was a good year (el nino with grass in the canyon bottoms head high). There were definately 350+ bulls in there then. I heard it burned but I am sure a few big ones are left...
