Anyone else getting close to their elk trip? Heading from Chicago to Nevada this weekend. Nice leisurely drive. Haha. My gear is ready. Just hope my jeep holds up.

I can't wait for the sweet sights, sounds & smell of the mountains.

Enjoy!!

Be safe and travel smart!

I'm out of here today for the Utah bow elk opener on thursday...chase a few bucks around till then.

Hey Zim,
good to see you got a tag. I haven't been on here since last October. I used to go by mossback. You might remember me. Get a big one. I got a tag this year also. Headed to Az unit 8.

good luck

Steve

buglinst,

I will be interested to compare notes on our hunts. NV 111 & AZ 8 have to be in the top 10 public land hunts in the US. Curious to see how big of critters we both see.

I had 8 bonus points. My odds were about 6%.

My only other hunt is in CO in November so this bowhunt will get my undivided attention.

HEY ZIM, GOOD LUCK IN NEVADA. ZIM, THAT CHICAGO IS A GREAT TOWN, I GET BACK THERE 2-3 TIMES A YEAR TO VISIT MY DAUGHTER & SON INLAW. THE FOOD IS GREAT, SPORTS TEAMS ARE FUN, AND WHITE TAIL HUNTIN MIGHT BE A POSSIBILITY FOR ME ALSO. HOLD OUT FOR A WALLHANGER. YD.

Funny you mention sports teams. I delayed my trip one day so I could take my boys to the Bears preseason game tomorrow. Love those warm evenings on the lakefront.

I LOVE THAT LAKE FRONT, I EVEN LIKE TO WALK DOWN TO NAVY PIER. I ALSO THOUGHT THAT RENOVATION ON SOLDIERS FIELD LOOKED GOOD TOO. ALWAYS WONDERED IF THEY DID MUCH FISHING IN THAT PART OF THE LAKE, NEVER SAW ANY FISHING BOATS OR ADVERTISING FOR DAY TRIPS. YD.
