Anybody have any pointers on the Bear river unit or Williams creek or any elk hunting info around Naselle, Chinook WA. Im new to the area and just looking for a place to start scouting. I dont need anybodys secret spot just some general info on some of the area. Thanks any help would be great.

Just find one of the MANY gated logging roads, head in a couple miles and go at it. I worked for Weyerhaueser a bit in that country, I"m no expert there, but there are a ton of elk and a ton of gated roads!

I've hunted the Nemah, Bone and Palix Rivers and Hornseeker's right - the entire area holds lots of elk. You can hunt as hard (hiking or biking in behind gates) or as easy (parking right on the highway and taking off) as you like, but obviously going in a ways behind gates you'll see fewer people. And if you're into archery hunting, Long Island is a pretty cool spot with lots of elk.
