Elk Bullet Question

I am going on my first hunt in northern Colorado this year. I am thinking of using the Winchester Supreme 160 gr Accubonds. Is that a good enough round out of my 7mm rem mag?

Everybody has their favorite bullets but if you're on the fence give the partitions some thought, I prefer the partition or Barnes TSX myself. the accubonds seem ok to me but I know a few good hunters who hate them , no matter what bullet you choose someone will bad mouth it so just choose one you like and go with it.

Have seen several bulls harvested via the 160 grain 7mm. Accubonds...from as close as 30 yards out to about 150 yards. Performance was outstanding. As long as your setup shoots them good and you put the bullet where it matters most you should have no problems.

I have guided over 200 bulls in the past 12 yrs and will tell you to adhere to Elmer Keith's advise and always take enough gun. Nothing kills elk like a 30 cal magnum and 180 plus grain bullets!

Killed my bull last year from approx 200 yards with that exact same bullet and can recommend it highly. The shot was from above and he dropped like a rock, legs tucked up.
