Thanks for checking up on me. They are just starting to get consistant in the areas that I hunt. Several wallows and groves of trees that are shredded. I found a rub last night that was over 8 feet tall. I would love to see the bull that made that thing. I have called in a couple of "pisscutters" but chose to let them grow up. I leave this afternoon for the last 10 days of the hunt. Cross your fingers, I need all the good mojo I can muster. I went into that hole and took my tree stand out on day 2. I have been chasing a good bull where I haven't seen any other hunters. I know, I know there aren't any areas in Utah without other hunters. Apparently I have found one of those undiscovered spots. Hopefully, the next time I post I will have some pictures or at least some great stories.

The rut is just kicking in. My friend killed a 340 bull on the Wasatch unit last week and the big bulls are starting to take over the herds as we speak! Keep after it man! I am leaving in about 2 hours to go try and punch a cow or spike! I love this time of year! Good luck to you all!

Good to hear the rut is picking up! Been practicing on the Mac Daddy jaw harp. Can't wait to catch a whiff of those stinky bulls.

I'm heading BOBCAT's way here next Friday. Looks like the youth elk hunters will be the only one's out there except for the "scouters" as were after the bowhunt and before the MZ hunt. Might be kinda lonely or even dangerous around all those horny bulls.

Since we're targeting the South Slope, you think Vernal or Duchesne is a better base? Have a few spots that looks pretty good and am ready to do a little hiking. Will hit in hard all 5 weekdays - 18th - 22nd. Hopefully, we'll get an average or better PIZZCUTTER, but I know the kid has standards and I know the crowd here is hard to impress (which I'm not tyring to do.)

You can PM me if you feel like sharing any info. All I can offer in return is a fishing trip if you ever make it to Alaska.

If you want to know what a REAL Pisscutter is, go look at the pics of the Sportsman's Tag bull....that is the TRUE definition of a PISSCUTTER. Bessy unfortunately was raised by wolves and barely finished the third grade, so he doesnt know the correct definition!
