I recieved this pic this morning. I am not sure if this is a 2006 bull but the story I got was that it is a 2006 bull killed on the Monroe, Ut unit. I don't know who the hunter is or what the story is. If anyone knows anything lets hear it.

Enjoy,

Jeremy

(I hope this pic actually posts)

Wow,
Nice G-1 through G-4's. He is so long it makes his 5/6 split look small...I didn't think we had any bulls in Utah with thirds....Great bull. Did anyone have it taped?

Thanks for the pictures, now hopefully a story follows (and the score) KattSkratch

No doubt that is a big bull.

The technique used (standing/sitting WAY behind) is nothing new tho. This is one of my favorite big bear pics using this technique:

Can't remember if this is a Kodiak or AK Pen brownie, but it was over 10 feet. This pic makes it look like it might be a 15-footer!

I got the same picture sent to me and it stated it green scored 405 and was taken in Island Park, Idaho.

Don't know if truth or fiction but still a nice BUll.

Brian

Saw the same picture last year so def. 05 or 04 bull, heard it was private farm in Idaho.

Thats a great bull,,But I think that sittin way back in pictures kinda ruins the whole picture,,,Its plenty big already,,,,just grab the horns and get the picture.

I'm not sure where it was taken, but I know it is not a 2006 elk. I got this same picture last year.

That thing is one nice bull. The hunter must be happy. Thanks for the sharing the pics.

The bull was killed by Pete Davis with
a bow in 2004. It scored 401 and was killed
in southeast Colorado.

Vinihunt,
I knew he was killed near Raton, was
just under the impression he came from
the Colorado side of the state line.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-13-06 AT 02:04PM (MST)[p]Noooo... he had cirrhosis of the liver - the hunter shot him coming out of his favorite watering hole - the Anchor Saloon in Rangely, CO.

No, he started rutting too early. The cows werent ready yet so the bombs between his legs turned blue then blew up, killing him.

Had the same thing almost happen to me with a new girlfriend once.

Can't argue that fact Bobcat.
However, the bull did come from
the Raton area, on the Colorado
New Mexico line.
One thing that's not bullshit.
He's a heck of a bull.

There was a big bull killed on monroe, 2 days ago. Box creek. 393. So they said.... Just got back from my deer hunt. Heard a lotta people telling a lotta stories. Didn't see 1 dead animal so who knows. All I know is they said they stuck a bull, it was down, scored 393 is basically all i got outa the idiot.

That bull was posted here either last year or the year before. One of the better pictures I have seen. Congrats again to the hunter. Hope someone has the original pic in full color, it was spectacular!

Cass-

They mention how many points on each side? Heard of an 8x8 that might go that high. 393 is large for Monroe. I don't think it has ever produced a 400 bull- you mentioned idiot... wondering what he really scored. ;)

Were you up there this year over the 2nd weekend? Still need to meet up with you one of these days on the mountain! We put a hurtin' on the spikes (deer) up there this year.... herd management LOL!

- I didn't even try to find out how many points. Trust me though, if somone draws a monroe bull tag for rifle and hunts them in the right place. He'll have his pick of bulls over 380. Talked to a guy who has been watching a 390+ 6x6 down in rock for a week. I've been up there way more than I should have.

THATS BULLCRAP!!!

ww (wileywapiti) SENT ME THE E-MAIL YESTERDAY STATING IT WAS A N.E. REGION PISSCUTTER!!!

THE ONLY bobcat WONDERING WHERE THE HELL MY OTHER POST WENT???

Cass-

I hear ya, 3 people I know have rifle tags this year. They are tracking a bull that's sheds went 383 last year. He's a hog and you probably know the bull I'm talking about. We both stomp around the same ground. Did you see the Californians this year?? I didn't see them in their usual camp nor anywhere on the mountain.

How did your deer hunt go?

P.S. What do you think of the neon orange "grafitti" everywhere?!?!? I wonder if they missed any trees?

If it's the same group - the Californians moved back to Utah and camp closer to big flat. The old man drew the rifle bull tag, but can't hunt until the 20th. That's what he gets with a new wife who takes him off to England for the opening weekend:) I'm sure we can still pull out a raghorn, got to be one or two still around worth looking at when everyone tags out and pulls off the hill.

This bull was killed one week ago on the South slope of the Uintas near red cloud loop. It scores 434" and was guided by Doyle Moss.

THEY SHOT IT OUT THE TRUCK WINDOW RIGHT NEAR TROUT CREEK,RIGHT???

THE ONLY bobcat!!!

Don't know about the bull in the photo, but there was a 393 bull killed on the Monroe a couple of days ago. I spoke to a local taxidermist who told me the guy was from New York. He didn't see the bull but got the story from a reliable friend..
I also heard the story from another source I can't mention. Anyway, hearing it from two different sources, I would have to assume it is true.... But nowdays, who knows?????
And as far as the photo above, what a great bull!!!!!!!
regardless of where and when it was killed!!!!

elknut-

Very cool! Glad to hear he drew a tag. He will do fine- even that next weekend. Everybody else will piss their pants at the sight of a 340 bull (swear it was 380), tag out, leaving plenty of the of big boys around! :)

I didn't know Mini Me was an Elk hunter. He sure makes that bull look big. One week ago D.M. was in Nevada. They killed a 401 gross bull with a bow. So I know thats a BS story.

This is NOT THIS YEARS BULL!
I had that exact same pic saved for a while at least a year ago!

Yep i saw 3 californians this year wayyyyyyyyy up by the radio tower but that was it. I kept moving camp back away from everyone behind and on the west face of hells hole res. Finally just drove up and base camped up in the pines by forshea the last week or so.
Just really dissapointed these past few years.

-Cass

I totally hear ya- DWR is slowly killing off the Elk herd and the deer herd is pathetic. I did see alot of fawns and doubles this year. Also a good sight to see. Too bad 1/2 of them will be blasted before they turn 2!

RE: theridge & TUFF BUFF'S PISSCUTTER BULL!!!

BESSY there ain't no elk in Trout Creek, or deer or grouse!!

The pic was passed on to me by a buddy with the explaination already there. I would bet that pisscutter was taken closer to Altamont anyways

RE: theridge & TUFF BUFF'S PISSCUTTER BULL!!!

Saw an awsome bull that came off the Monroe at the taxidermist in Marysville.

Dub

RE: theridge & TUFF BUFF'S PISSCUTTER BULL!!!

Dub, was that the one killed by the woman from Marysvale?
Quite a disgusting story behind that bull.

RE: theridge & TUFF BUFF'S PISSCUTTER BULL!!!

I don't know, didn't get to see the hunter or hear the story.

Dub

RE: theridge & TUFF BUFF'S PISSCUTTER BULL!!!

Just an ethics issue...enough said...
No sense bashing it our here..sorry..

RE: theridge & TUFF BUFF'S PISSCUTTER BULL!!!

When did we start not bashing unethical people on this forum?

Rut

RE: theridge & TUFF BUFF'S PISSCUTTER BULL!!!

I guess we started when I made the last post and decided not to bash. If they were hunters, it made me ashamed to be one of them.

RE: theridge & TUFF BUFF'S PISSCUTTER BULL!!!

Must be because a women shot the bull and it scored in the 390 region.
