I was wondering what spotting scope some of the guys were using on this sitee I'm in the market for a spotting scope and I'm looking at the Zeiss and the Swarvorski scopes and also if any of you have use the digtal camera hook ups.

thank you
Brian

My friend uses the digital camera hookup with his swarovski 65 mm and in his words: gets good pictures out to 1000 yards!!

he calls them in to much closer, but he sais it is a great setup.

I use the Swarovski STS 65 20-60 power. On a recent hunt I had the chance to compare it and the Zeiss side by side and the main difference I noticed is the eyepiece on the Swarovski seems to be higher quality. Also, the stay-on cover made by Swarovski is alot better than the Zeiss. Even though I'm a big fan of Zeiss I preferred the Swarovski.

Brian, I like to use my 15x bino's on a tripod and then the doubler if need be. It is easier on the eyes. If you are set with buying a spotter, I personally like the STS65..... Thanks, Allen Taylor......

Thanks Bura I have a pair of 15 doctors that I like quite a bit put I'm ready to upgrade my spotting scope from my old baush and lomb.

Chase, I've got the ATS 80 with the 20x60 eyepiece swarovski and am very happy with it. I do not have the camera adapter at this time but have held my camera up to the eyepiece several times to take pics. I've also done this with my binos. It works but is a pain in the glutimus maximus. Love that spotter. fatrooster.

Go to www.betterviewdesired.com for a complete review of several top end scopes. I bought the pentax 80mm based on the reviews. You can get this with a 20x60 eyepiece on ebay for about $800.00. This scope optics are awesome, the only down side is it size and weight. Save your self some money and get the pentax. Good Luck.

I went with the same setup as Rooster (80 Swaro angled eye piece). At first I had regrets due to the price. However, after several scouting trips for antelope I glad I did it.

I have the Swarovski STS 80 with the 20X60 eyepiece. I have the camera adapter and it takes good pictures but can be a pain in the but to use. Swarovski has a new adapter that sits above the scope and when you want to take a picture it just swings down into position. It's some $$$ but might be worth it.
