I dont like to start rumors, but the back ground almost looks like a fenced in ranch over by Rifle Colorado(there is smaller towns closer by but I dont know the name of them) I know they have some huge N/T there as well and I know they sell them to be shot, again I'm not 100% sure about this because I havent been there for about 2 years but the vegitation behind them and that hill in the back ground looks like the same area.

I think I just might have to move if Colorado has toads that big just walking around in the open!

It does look like the Rifle area. It also looks alot like Uintah Basin geography, which is just a couple of hours from Rifle.

The horn is pretty light colored, A sign of a "fenced" Elk. The back ground looks like lots of areas in western Colorado. Who knows......Cool bull!

JJ- How does a light antlered bull represent a "fenced elk"? Pretty sure the bull just barely rubbed off his velvet.

P.H.

Most of the Elk ranches around here, in western Colorado, don't have many trees. The trees that are there have been rubbed to death. The majority of the coloring on antlers comes from the stuff they rub on. No trees= not too much color on antlers.

Not talking trash, just an observation.....

Again, very cool Bull! I would not hesitate to shoot.....

What do you guys think it would score?

JJ

I say high fence. HOWEVER! If I am wrong my sincerest apologies. I saw a high fence kill in early September and it resembles this one. Again, I am not positive. Can someone confirm or deny the fence? If it is free roaming my hat is off to the hunter. If not, well........

Hoytshooter, that is the same ranch I am talking about, just east of collbran, (I think). If I'm wrong then I'm sorry I even brought it up.

Little Creek Ranch, Collbran Colorado? The owner/ ceo, some sort of big wig of "Dickies" clothing killed a huge bull 450+ that came off an Elk ranch just south of Collbran.

Yeah - that looks like NW Colorado all right but - that bull could be one of the monsters the wandered off the Dinosaur Natl. Monument too. I would put odd on it being a fenced in bull too though.
