Pine Valley Utah?

Don't waste your time. Not very many elk. Very slim chance of killing a bull unless you know where they are and were they go. Sorry probably not what you wanted to hear.

Not bad if you want a two point or a spike. Wait...the muzzleloader hunt has been going for almost a week now...they probably have them cleaned out as well.

Last weekend they got a bull that scored 402 out of the pine valley hunt a kid with one leg shot it there are very low elk numbers but if you know were there at you will do ok hunt the nevada border if you are going to try it around the Terry Ranch i am lucky enough to be related to the terrys so i can hunt there property good luck.

Does Dean have any tied up for the hunt? The truth is this unit has very small numbers. With posts like 402 here and hunt the border there, the hunters will out number the elk 20 to 1. Sounds real fun. Hint, wear lots of orange.

Lets get right dopwn to the dirt of the subject. Truth be known, there were only 80 elk on the unit. This is a huge place, with lots of room to roam. We have been over ran with archery hunters and smoke pole hunters for the last month and a half. I knew there were 3 bulls by the state line. Well, all three fell over during the youth hunt. If you ask people that have been hunting if they have seen any elk, they will laugh and tell you they were lucky to see anything besides a whole hillside of camo walking around. Trully, your odds of killing an elk on this unit will be more along the lines of 1 in 500 to 1000. I have lived in the unit most of my life, and I have seen 4 elk in over 30 years. That is a lot of area being covered where they are supposed to be. Will someone get one? Yes, but odds are not in your favor.
