Just curious if anyone out there has some tips for the bear river zone in idaho. First time hunting the area and haven't seen much sign. Any info would be much appreciated.
Any other suggestions forgeneral bull tags in idaho?

There are lots of elk in that area. A 300" bull would be truely huge there, lots of hunters/shooting. Locally that hunt is known as the "bull wars".

Haven't talked to local landowners this year but I would be almost 100% certain there is alot of elk down on the private. You could try hanging out on the public borders and catch them when the shooting starts. Lots of roads in the area. South part of unit may have some big bulls due to proximity to UT. I am more familiar with the north and west sides.

Either stay close to the private or just get up on a good ridge and keep your eyes open.

there are some there well over 300. I saw six last year alone that were bigger than the 353 that my brother-in-law shot in the bannock zone. I was thinking about the south end as well near preston. Any suggestions?
