Fishing for Elk

Saw these pics on another site. The story is they were fishing on the Columbia River and they saw this bull floating down the river.

Man what a shame, I bet the meat is no good either after being in the water. Wondering if some hunter managed to kill the elk and then lost him due to the elk trying to swim the river. Not sure what the hunting seasons are up in that part of the country though.

That is wierd, nice bull though.

The bull had a bullet in it. 1 entry no exit. most likely poached. game officials left the carcass without pulling the bullet and took the horns.

must not have been too worried about it I guess.
