Just returned home from a Muzzleloader hunt with my cousin Gary and Friends Greg and Troy.Greg was the lucky tag holder and he took a once in a lifetime bull. The bull is a 9x8 and a possible 9x9.It will gross well over 400 and it might be the State record Nontypical with a Muzzleloader even with a busted G3 and a busted Nontypical point but will have to wait for the offical score. If this bull was complete it could possibly be the highest gross scoring bull in Utah.I have posted some pictures but they dont do it justice you would have to see this bull in person. hopefully Greg will post the story or let me post it.

John,
That's a great bull and also some great pictures.By the way,the pic with the bull on your back makes him look huge.Is that because he really is that big or because your only 4 foot tall.LOL
Joe

Saxon that is a pig of a bull! Congrats to your cousin. Have you filled your tag yet?

Hey now Sharpshooter,
That's not very nice!!Johnnys atleast 4'2" ;-). John always insists on carrying all of our bulls antlers and capes. He is short, but he can pack three times his weight!
I was able to look at this bull last night and was very impressed. You'll be able to see some live video of the bull (thanks to Johnny) on our new show called Roughin It Outdoors. The show will debut on Channnel 2 at 11:00pm this Saturday.
The same place and time that Doug's show aired. I hope you guys enjoy. Later,
Adam Eakle aka Fstop

elkoholic2 That is an awesome bull.A friend of mine has video of that bull that he got this summer. My cousin and Greg watched that bull the morning of the last day of the rifle hunt and we were hoping that it made it through the day so we could kill him the next morning but the California hunter that Guy mills was guiding killed him.

It was are friend Greg who made a great shot and killed the bull. Want to say thanks to Kyle Nowers he was the man who located this bull and even though Kyle runs Wild West Outfitters this was not a guided hunt Kyle offered to hike back in with us to kill this bull and also pack out the meat with his horses.Just goes to show that its not all about money, but if i needed his services i wouldnt hesitate to call him. This hunt was about hunters helping a normal guy who has waited 12 years for his chance at a nice bull.I want to also thank Jeremy and his dad Wade for also hepling us try to find Greg a bull.

Founders dad is still hunting and i hope he kills a great bull!!!

LAST EDITED ON Oct-03-06 AT 07:51PM (MST)[p]Thanks everyone! Obviously I couldn't feel more fortunate for putting the pinch on that bad dude. Thanks to Gary, John, Troy and Rick for all of their efforts! Also Karen, Tay, John and John for our camp support! Of course thanks to Kyle for locating this perfect bull! I also have to give a huge shoutout to the Pearsons! I will never forget this past week that's for sure!

Congrats Sonny Boy! Thats right, my son shot a monster, and I couldn't be happier for him! Can't wait to see it, drop a few steaks my way!

Love Ya!

Wow...that is an awesome elk! You're one lucky guy, not only for getting an elk like that but for your support base as well. Sounds like you've got a great bunch of friends and family. And also a very supportive girlfriend. Not too many guys have that.

It's good to see someone within the state get a big monster like that.

I'm envious! Maybe one of these years you'll see my pic in the hunting forums. :D

What a Bull. Saxons right the pictures do not show how big that Bull really is, its a Friggin pig. That was one of the best hunts i have ever been on. I would like to that Greg for such a great hunt and Congrats to him. Hopefully ever body will get to see the Bull in person some time, what character he has it is totally Awesome.
