Got it in an email says it was killed in Montana and scores around 530? Should be an SCI new archery world record. Don't kill the messenger please!

Its one giant after another this year. Seems like you never get the real story for quite a while. That thing sure is huge.

There have been so many of these fenced kills popping up. I really can't understand how someone who calls themselves a 'hunter' can be proud of that. Anyone who goes around touting about the 'trophy' they killed should be laughed at in their face. Ridiculous.

The guy in the photo did not kill it.
It was killed in a 400 acre pen.
It cost about $80k.
He told me score but it is high fence so it did not matter much.

80K for that? No wonder there is picture after picture of these monsters, if its that lucrative. It sure kills it for me though.

So basically its worth 80K dollars to someone to shoot something like this, put it on the wall and tout their hunting ability? I hope the taxidermist can sew up the hole in the ear.

That bull might be worth 80 grand...but most of us know that an animal we HUNT and put it hard work and effort for, no matter what the size, will always be PRICELESS

I don't know if they/he really paid 80k, I seriously doubt 80k though, more than likley not. I do know that it was killed in a pen, in Collbran though!~ I also know that is the same bull in the mass and trash post in the Bucks and Bulls contest. I really don't understand why they would put, or why we would allow a "fenced" hunt bull in a big bucks and bulls contest. If this guy has 80k for a hunt would'nt ya think he could let some poor folks win the prizes? Interesting that they would conceal the palmation of one side of the antler on one post then conseal the drop tine in the other?

Side note though, it is quite a achievement to grow a 500+ bull even on a ranch, with that being said, there aint too many bulls that ever reach that mark!. I know steroids and such "help" but is still tough to grow them that big, and keep them healthy and alive for the a "hunt" and I use that tearm loosly! That bull is 10+ years old, and loved the grain bucket!~ I'll leave things at that!

Looks like "Ole Duke" on the Beverly Hillbillys. Sleeping in the sun while "Jethro" scratches his back.

My thoughts exactly...Or maybe it's like the bands on ducks. If you get enought of them you can put on a piece of leather and wear it around your neck on your next canned hunt?

'It's all about the gut pile'

I was actually trying to imagine the full shoulder mount hanging in the guys living room with a tag still in its ear. Now thats funny.
I went on a canned bird hunt once. Not alot of fun kicking quail to get them to flush. Never again! BTW ,I didn't know it was canned until we got there.

I can't even imagine hunting ELK like that.

He sure must have worked hard for that one. His nice denim shirt is all crisp and clean. Didn't even break a sweat after likely shooting it from the pickup and walking down to the animal.

Brand new .300 Weatherby magnum with scope-$1800
60 boxes of .300 shells for target practice-$2000
Trip to Colorado for elk hunting trip-$4000
License to shoot a 600 inch bull in a 400 acre pen-$25,000

Winning the Big Bucks and Bulls contest on Monster Muleys-Priceless!

dutch....without a doubt the same bull. Wonder if there is any pictures of the wife, kids, family members, ranch hands, local mailman, or any other person that's watched this bull grow up.

I was going to leave this part out but, now that it has been brought up, I hear he also had a "Trophy" wife! Much better than looking at that ole stinky farm raised breeder bull that could no longer do the "job".

Lame.

Pathetic.

That about sums up what I think of this "hunter" and his "trophy".

I'd sooner take a cow elk or a spike on a fair chase hunt than take the SCI world record bull from a lousy high fence hunt.

If this guy has that big a problem with his self image that he had to go out and shoot what amounts to a domestic cow so he could have bragging rights of shooting a huge bull, he probably would have been better off spending the money on penis enlargement.

Look a few posts down under "biggest bull ever". There is a picture of a bull in the bottom right corner of all those elk pics, looks like the same one. Ridiculous.
