thank you deadi , I need to learn how that works , did you see the photo on the same page of the 306 nontypical deer,

GREAT LOOKING BULL. THAT THING IS A STUD. I WOULD TAKE HIM IN A MINUTE! WOW!!!!!!!!!!

That thing is one great looking bull. That is one lucky hunter. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Just outta curiosity....who is Sam Jacksik???

I have heard the name, seen his name under photos of other big game.......but ????

LAST EDITED ON Oct-06-06 AT 06:29PM (MST)[p]I would also like to know who he is? The bull is unbelievable. Nevada still grows a few!

The guy in the photo looks like the bad guy that was always on Walker, Texas Ranger?

All i know is, in the same area, are a few more bulls comparable to this one . The rifle elk season is going to open soon and I am positive that Bull Ridge , Purplesage , and the legandary Mr Krough , are going to have one hell of a season. The area they are hunting has had exceptional antler growth this year and this awesome bull is one of the big bulls that will be harvested this year.Nevada , Arizona and Utah will have one of the best seosons on record .

LAST EDITED ON Oct-06-06 AT 09:33PM (MST)[p] I have to say this , I dont know the hunter, or the guides from bull ridge , I heard about this bull from a freind and found it on bull ridge web page .I do know it was harvested in south eastern nevada , that is all I have heard , I felt like it was a bull that we all here at MM would enjoy seeing and talking about. I wish the hunter or a guide from bull ridge would share the story , and in fact I am sure they will in one of are favorite mags , MULEY CRAZY or EASTMANS. Anyway , a bull scoring in the 430 net range is always good conversation. thanks to deadi for helping post the photos , there are more photos of this bull at diferent angles , no matter wich angle you see it from it is still huge . Enjoy.

yep.. that's Sam.. he has taken so many world class animals its unreal... lucky dude..

That's one helluva bull. Nice when the tines branch out themselves! Congrats to Sam.

That bull is a STUD. I have to say that I think this is a down year for AZ. NV and UT might have banner years but this year in AZ; is not nearly as good as last year.

I would think the bull came from 231 but that is just a guess.I do hope the antler growth on deer in 114-115 was great this year as well. The bull is huge congrats to the hunter and guides on this one.

Yes it was. I also heard that Sam killed a 90+ antelope this year. He also has the Nevada state record california bighorn at 186. His son Todd has the antelope record at 93 2/8.

WARBIRDUM THE ANTLER GROWTH WAS TERRIBLE ON 114-115. I HAVE HAD THREE ARCHERY TAGS IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS AND THIS IS THE WORST YEAR OF ALL. LOTS OF LITTLE 3X3 AND 3X4.

388Net thats not good news at all.I have been told by others they have been seeing some decent bucks this year.
I have a rifle tag and will be hunting some private and public ground hope to see at least one decent buck.

I packed in and hunted the wilderness country on mariah this year. Last year we also hunted high and we saw 5 or 6 bucks that would push the 30 inch mark. good luck on your hunt!!!!!!

warbirdum , I disagree with 388net, after scouting for the past few months in 114 ,115 and 231 , I personally feel you have a tag for that area when it is at its best. hunt hard , go early and stay late, youre efforts will pay off .nevada is in one of its best years as far as antlers are concerned .The record books will have more than one new nevada entry after the rifle season ends. good luck on youre hunt , and let me tell you this . Do not rely on my post here at MM or any others just put in youre time in the feild and you will see what I am talking about , good luck .

Hehe.. you must be a

Nevadan to have heard those rumors.... a shame really, pulling a trigger is much different than hunting.

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

fldrw22
I hunted as hard as anybody I stayed late and got up dam early for 22 days on this hunt. I also know 9 other hunters that had that same tag and none of them saw a buck over 27 inches wide.
I know I am not interested in pisscutter bucks like little willow horned 3x3 and 3x4. But maybe some people like you are........

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

388Net,your just hunting the wrong ares,if you tired of seeing little pisscutters,3x3,3x4's why do you keep applying for the same ares year after year.down in ares 222&231,the state record has been broken twice in 2 years.i have 3 deer hanging on my walls from those ares 1)31" 4x4,last year i harvested a 29"4x5,and back in 2001 i harvested a 5x7.sometimes you got to try different areas.also their was a 25x27 harvested from 1 of those ares this year during the muzzy season.but alls i can say is that my freezers are full, and so is my belly.......happy hunting.by the way will be in 222 in dec.for the late season bull hunt with my son....enjoy

one thing I will have to say is , dont be so disrespectful you lil bastard . The last deer I personally harvested was a 195 5x7 with a bow . We pass on smaller bucks for chumps like youreself MR. Trophy hunter. If you were not able to find a shootable buck in the area youre talking about , I would suggest you get off of youre quad and hike youre chubby ass to where the deer are. , you are hunting one of the hot spots nevada has to offer , however the deer dont hang out on the side of the roads .You must have been the guy with the big 4 door truck ,the big ,bad trailer and everyone with you had a new quad, you guys were the ones riding around with saddle sores complaining about the poor conditions of the deer herds, and the lack of big bucks . Nevada hunters are fortunate for guys like you , hopefully next year you will be so discouraged about the poor conditions ,you wont even apply.I wish you well when you try making a roast out of youre tag.and just out of curiosity, are you the same 388net that had posted you hunted 5 to 6 30 inch bucks in the area you later posted you hadnt seen a 27 inch buck ,what is it , they are there, or are they .

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

OK, that does it! Will someone sell me a tag for this area and I will decide!?!

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

What unit did the 430 bull come from anyway?I still think 231 does anyone know?I cant sell my deer tag to you ktc, I need to hunt something for a change this helping stuff is fun but not the real deal...

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

OK BIRD, You decide since no one feels like selling me a tag! If they do I will go with ya BIRD! PLEASE?

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

fldrw22

I hope to tell your sorry ass I was packed in on horses about eight miles into wilderness area. We camped in a tent and we would stay seven days than come home for five than back for seven and so on. I did say I saw some good bucks on this unit last year and in 2000 I killed a 7x6 32 inches wide on this unit. But this year I just did not see the caliber of bucks that I have seen in the past years....
Oh by the way I don't even own a Quad so before you know what the piss your talking about don't open your mouth and babble about what you don't know.

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

ok , I didnt realize I was dealing with an internet BULLY . Iam so sorry , NOT , there are post on every sight just like yours, negative and not one good thing to say . My suggetion to you is you sell the quad you are so embarrassed to admit you own and stick to youre sunday morning hunting shows .I actually met you this year , you were the guy hunting 114 in nevada wandering why you were not seeing any whitetails and talking about when the shotgun season opened .

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

Mr. D carter , the only D Carter with a successful draw for mule deer in 114 on NDOW website under successful draw applicants , From Beaver , I looked up youre address through youre local directory , Then put that into Google earth and seen youre house in 3D, if this is you , it shows youre quads in youre driveway , Its ok ,you are not the only person out there spooking the deer before you ever see them . There are more guys who hunt the same trophy areas who dont see #####. Is it becoming clear to you yet why a guy can go harvest a nice deer in the same area you , youreself would sware that there are no deer in.

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

sarcasm ,isnt it great ,you have to have a sence of humor when dealing with someone as negative as 388net , there are not any whitetail in southern nevada either .

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

I am looking forward to a fun hunt first of all and if we harvest some decent deer that is icing on the cake.I would not have put in for the units I did if I did not think there were trophy qaulity deer on these units.

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

warbirdum, You will have a fantastic time , reguardless of what has been posted here , the bucks are lookin real good in those areas mentioned , In the trips I have taken to those areas this year ,we have always seen good bucks ,from an average deer , wich in there we are talking 28 inch 4x4 's to the bigger bucks , typical and non typicals, and this is a good year for non typicals . Good luck and keep us posted.

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

flwdrw22 I sent you a pm.I dont need the biggest deer in Nevada but a decent buck would be nice to have a chance at.
Thanks

I would suggest hiking ,not riding , to a spot that is good for glassing alot of terrain .spend youre time behind youre glasses and scope and before you know it , bang , theres a deer , and another and another . plan youre stock , and go for it. people think if they put 100 miles on their quad every day , they have hunted hard ,personally, by the end of the day my eyes hurt ,not my rearend .another cool thing is go to GOOGLE EARTH and download it into youre computer, you can find all of the peaks and valleys and also be able to figure out a way to get there . The program gives GPS locations , copy them down and hike youre butt to where the guys who ride the roads wont be able to affect youre hunt . A basic GPS unit will help you find those OFF THE ROAD SPOTS.

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

thats one big son of a bitchin' bull. Much Congrats to the hunter!!

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

Monte ,E mail me a number where we can talk , fldrw22 @ yahoo mail, It would be a pleasure to help you out , I am , however not a guide , I have a very close freind who does have a service and have learned more from him than I could ever repay , Passing what I have been taught on to other folks is very gratifiing , helping folks like you and youre freind is fine by me . Right now ,at this point in my life my MOM has breast cancer , I know where you are at with dealing with something like , CANCER . To put it lightly it @#$%$## sucks . Getting back to nature and the outdoors is what keeps things in perspective for me , Maybe that is why I dont deal with negativity that well , Like 388nets constant crap talking .we should all be appreciative to any other hunters post on this sight ,big buck ,bull ,ram, lope ,lion or a dang squirrel , why would you ever slamm someone for sharing their outdoor experience .unless you are the lazy ass , driving youre @#@$%^ quads on every trail you can find .

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

Thats a big bull, but Im more interested in the fldrw22 vs 338net. At this point, its fldrw22+Google Earth = 338net is

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

PLEASE and I am saying PLEASE with a big ol set of horns on top. Lets get back to the reason I even posted this POST , Is this not an incredible BULL. This is, at the current date ,the largest bull harvested in Nevada this year . Hats off to MR. Jacksick. 430 inches of baddass Bull . Maybe , at some point we can all hear the story behind the hunt . Good luck and happy hunting to all.

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

Hey 1st of all I was giving my honest opinion on what I saw on this hunt. 2nd you can think I am Pam Anderson if all I give a s#$#!. Google all you want I don't own a quad...... I sure am glad you know everything. This big bully better stop being mean before someone starts crying.

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

Lets get back to the monster bull that is pictured on the top of this page. The only thing I said was that I was hoping that some Nevada deer grew some nice head gear this year also.388net sorry you did not see any true trophies on your deer hunt during the archery hunt this year.I have been on many many hunts that I did not quite see what I would have liked to get a crack at, this is the norm for most of us hunters.I dont know where you were hunting and dont care if you were only seeing small 3 points this year. But I think any unit in Nevada can hold some hogs getting them will be the tough part and I guess that is why they call it hunting not harvesting.
I still would like to know what unit the elk was taken in, that bull is huge.

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

Thanks that is the unit I thought it would have been harvested in but I was just taking a wild guess.

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

Warbirdum
Good luck on your hunt I know that somewhere on this unit a big buck roams. Good hunting and good luck. I was not trying to discourage you and I hope I didn't. I was just telling you what I saw. I Hunted the Hendrys creek and Hampton creek areas if this will help you. I have had this tag 3 times and harvested one great buck. I am really picky on what I shoot. Last year I saw some shooter bucks but this year was alot tougher. I hope you kill a toad and {prove proof however you spell it} me totally wrong. Good luck...............

RE: Hehe.. you must be a

Thanks,
For your input and no you did not discourage me, I have hunted mule deer enough to know that a big one is so very hard to put a tag on. Every season we as hunters go into the hunt with high expectations and excitement about getting a chance at a nice trophy and I guess this is why most of us like to hunt it is for me anyway.
Again thanks and good luck on any future hunts you have lined up.
Same goes to you fldrw22 good luck to you as well in any of your future hunts and thanks for your input as well.

four hundred and thirty inches!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont see where this bull gets all his inches.

AZG&F is the downfall of hunting in Arizona!!!!!

muleybull , go to bullridge guide service web page and look at the additional photos and it will become very obvious where the 430 inches are , long tines , and great mass =430 inches of big nevada bull,. This was a governers tag . Nevadas general rifle season hasnt opened yet, wait till it does . I guarentee you will see more huge nevadas bulls this season.

muleyboy ,you must have seen the other photos on bull ridge web page . Pretty bull ,Big too
