Really? From Austin? I didn't know anyone from Austin could use a black powder rifle let alone kill an elk with one!!!! It wasn't a high fence hunt was it? Just Kidding!!! I wish I could help you, I have never posted any of my trophies on this site!

That's pretty funny I never thought so myself. hehe
No actually we got this bull about 3 miles in a wilderness area, it about killed us taking out the rack and cape on a pole between two of us. The meat we took out on a horse. It was a tough one but well worth it. A guy on here said he was going to post the pic's for me, he probably has been busy. hopefully they will be up soon.

WOW! The wilderness is tough country for Texans that live at Sea Level. I've bow hunted in 6A wilderness area many years ago with little success. I passed on 2 or 3 330 bulls! Have you ever hunted 6A? I haven't put in for that draw since.... I keep hearing about that area! Do you know anything about that area? Please let me know when your pics get posted... I want to see that bull!

Man that is pretty amazing. That is the area where we got that bull from. I live right by the unit, just across the road. Yeah them poor Texans took a good beating with the altitude, but they hung in there and worked hard. The pay-off was worth it. Why would you pass on a 330 bull? That is a very good bull for this part or almost any part of the state. Although there certainly are bigger bulls they are not around every corner and you have to take advantage when you see bulls of that caliber. Unless you have harvested much better and plenty of those type's already. I don't know what happened to that guy that was going to post those pic's for me. I'll send them to your e-mail.

Thats a really good bull! He looks to about 345. You can be proud of that one! Congrats!
