Any Washington Bulls as of yet? I know that I was not one of the lucky few who drew big bull tags. Lets here how the hunting is!!! Good luck to all.

I've got one but have yet to see anything worth punching it on. Will head out again for the last few days of the season.

We got one spike in our group, its slow this year, not much banging going on like past opening weekends. we saw two elk opening weekend the spike we got and a cow that was with it.

I was lucky enough to get a 3X1 on the eve of the opener...saw three bulls one was a 2X2 one may have been a spikeX2 and the bull I got...coming out in the dark with a full pack in very steep terrain hurts!

helped my buddy and his lady last sunday fill her Mission Doe tag. Her first deer, pretty awesome. But up on the clockum we saw either in the back of a truck or hanging in camp, 8 elk. But man where there a lot of people.

Ya that Clockum is a mess during elk season. I am amazed at the amount of camps every year I go up there.

I've got one, spotted a big bull the night before opener, and then hunted the entire first week without seeing another bull. My partner shot a spike with his on the opener. My other partner and I are headin' out tomorrow for the last two days on the bull tag.

I hunted archery for elk and got a nice bull but I've only heard of a few elk talken. I have talked to a few guys with big bull tags and they are starting to get a little nervous cause they havnt even seen one yet.

Rough year for elk hunters from what I am hearing. If you were fortunate enough to bag one you should be quite glad. That goes without saying, but this year.......it REALLY is the truth.

I 2nd what boneaddict says, it was a tough hunt. After talking to some guys I feel lucky to have even seen a couple small bulls. Tag soup for me unfortunately.

Sorry to hear it ridge but that seems to be the refain. I'm not sure where they heck they are but an awful lot of guns have seen a darn few bulls.

ill 3rd what bone said, it was a slot year where we were at, not much banging going on, my cousins did fill there 3 cow tags but they didnt even see an elk till cow day which was 5 days past the opener.

We did really well this year filling 2 out of 3 tags. I guess some of it is always a little luck, but we hunted our rears off and it paid off well. We logged about 12-15 miles per day and stayed away from others hunters, better yet, the terrain that we were hunting kept them away.

I spoke with a couple of you at different times on PM's and threads about the area and you had alot of useful info, so I appreciate it. I'll tell you what, it's the best kept secret in the state. It's the Northeast Corner units and its any bull.

I tagged a 5x6 and my buddy took his first elk ever, a 6x6 that would have been a 6x7 but he was broken off. It's great to hunt these units hard, but you have to hunt em' smart or you won't see a thing.

Luckily, we got a snow a couple of times during the week and that really helped pinpoint our efforts.

There was a good amount of pressure in the unit........on the roads. I thought it was Seattle Rush hour an hour before dark on some evenings. You'd see 5-10 per half hour slowly roll by camp looking for elk that aren't there. Evey fresh track we found was a minimum of 3 miles in and most were 5-6 behind locked logging gates. Even then, the elk were high, not low. Find the tallest elevation you could and then start looking for fresh sign. When you found a pocket of fresh sign, chances are that the elk are going to be there the next day too, because something is holding them there and nothing is giving them reason to leave.

I am confident that with another day, our camp would have gone 3 for 3, but my brother had limited vacation and needed to get back on Saturday, and it was his tag that was yet to be filled. We have most likely found our elk hunting home for the next couple of years. If one is willing to do the work and hunt smart, you can have an elk hunting experience out there that is every bit as good as MT, ID or WY.

*going to pick up the pictures from the shop now.* Will be back later to post.
