Alright guys I am a newbie. Planning an elk hunt in sept. '07 for the lolo zone in Idaho. I am aware of the wolf issues, but was wondering if anyone could give me a good starting spot or any other information about the area. I already have a couple of forest maps (Clearwater national forest wilderness map and another). What type of area should I be looking for? It seems like there is quite a bit of water in the area, so I am not sure if I could single out a water source to focus on. What about type of terrain/elevation for this time of year?

I have alot of questions, some I have answers for, while others lead to more questions.

Any help would be appreciated.
