Well here is the story: We actually went out early looking for deer along the foothills of the mountains and I looked up into a canyon and saw 7 bulls grazing. So we changed plans and headed up the canyon trail. Once we got to the area we last saw them, I saw a couple of them feeding in some trees. So we hurried up and got set up for a shot and ranged where we thought they would come out at. After a few minutes a couple of 6 points walked out and began to feed up the hillside. Then he stepped out on to the hillside and I told her to get ready while I got a range on him. I ranged him at 406 yards and told her to aim slightly above his back and squeeze the trigger. I was watching in the binos to see where she would hit and as I heard the gun fire, I watched the bull collapse in his tracks. We continued to keep an eye on him for a few minutes until we went on up to him, making sure he was done for. We had no camera with us at the time (bad luck to have one during the hunt, lol) so we took care of him and headed back out. Once we made it to the truck we called for help to get him out and a camera. She was so excited I even had a hard time keeping up with her on the way back in! To say the least she is pretty excited!
