Looking to unload some sheds and just wanting to get an idea of current market prices...any feedback would be of assistance. Looking for per pound price of brown, hard white, and chalk...Thank you!

Look on ebay. I'm not that familiar with selling sheds but heard anything will go for $10 a pound. A nice matching set may go for a couple thousand (I heard) on ebay.

Jimmy,
I sold some sheds recently. In all I got an average of about $2.50 per pound. The browns were going for $7 per lb. the chalky falling apart stuff went for $0.50 per lb. It ranged from there depending on the condition of the antlers. Muley sheds got more $$ per lb than my elk sheds. In all I sold 450 lbs.

Huntnut...it took about 4 years. Some years I find more than others. The big stuff will sell for more.....those are in a separate pile. I usually keep the really big ones though. I recently sold a mid 180s non-typical muley for $400.

Do you find the sheep horns very often??? That would be too cool. I'd like to have some of those to use on the bows I build..

LAST EDITED ON Dec-05-06 AT 06:10PM (MST)[p]Wyoming if you keep them on the skull you have to have them plugged at the game and fish and buy a $5 tag. This ram was just a 5 year old .The little one just 3. I have the 12 year old one in the living room!
