Cow Elk Tag for Southern Utah

Did anyone draw Dutton cow tag? I know the area pretty well and have always seen many elk during archery/rifle season. But, we hunted 3 days pretty hard this past weekend and not one cow!
Everyone we talked to also said it was very slow.

Wondering what's going on?

WELCOME TO THE DUTTON. THATS A HUGE MOUNTAIN AND WHEN THERE IS NOT ALOT OF SNOW COVERING IT GOOD LUCK. I HAD A TAG FOR TWO YEARS IN A ROW ONE YEAR KILLED THE FIRST DAY AND THE SECOND COULDN'T FIND A THINK AFTER TEN DAYS OF HUNTING

Last year we had cow tags and saw at least 30. The only thing different that I can think of was there was no snow down there last year. This year if you got into places were the sun didn't hit the mountain very well --goodluck with getting the wheelers through.

We might head down there in a week or so, but I'm wondering if it's worth the drive and not even seeing elk.
