What started out as a counter-intelligence operation evolved into an investigation of if and how Russia influenced the election.
A "part" of this investigation also included the possibility of collusion on the part of the campaign or individuals in the new administration.
Now this is "key", the collusion portion is simply a single part of a much larger puzzle.It's what followed that is now in play like misleading Congress, violations of the Logan Act, FARA omissions, obstruction of justice. money-laundering are also parts of the puzzle.
So to hang your hat on collusion alone really no longer matters. I said in an earlier post that it will be difficult if not impossible to prove collusion. As in, there is not going to be some video of Trump and Putin smiling for the camera making deals over the election.
So, jump up and down all you want over collusion. That portion of the investigation may at this juncture no longer matter.
Like Watergate, Nixon did not break into the hotel room but certainly did get involved trying to cover it up.
Given all of that, the links to Russian Banks (Putin) and Trump prior to his candidacy, links of the players in the campaign and the new administration to Russia along with fact that Flynn should have never sat in on any matter of national security meetings especially after being warned by Obama, Yates, Flynn's attorney, you got problems. Add to that the lies by Pence, Spicer, Trump, Manafort, and Sessions, and the delay on removing Flynn all bring us to where we have arrived today.
Given your background RELH I would have thought by now especially after Comey's termination even you would have taken off your partisan blinders. Before this ever hit the MSM I posted how all these ties to Russia were going to explode on the presidency.
I still think it will be very difficult to get an impeachment let alone a conviction through the Senate. So again I will restate that resignation under a pending impeachment or via the 25th amendment may be how this all plays out.
If so we will have President Hatch. It's time to back away from Trump. If he had listened to Obama or Yates or even Flynn's attorney he may have avoided this debacle. But he didn't, his ego has buried hip high in chit and his along with Pence's actions have implicated both of them.
Why do you think the FBI is not offering Flynn immunity? They don't need to anymore it's that simple. Trump tells Flynn to stay strong as in do not hand over your records and if you do get popped I will pardon you. Flynn will be singing like a bird now that the investigation has turned on Trump.
I know, I'm a moron, perhaps Notags, DW or Glen will have a better grip on all of this. Nemont and I have tried to repeatedly warn you guys, Trump is bad news, a bad player.
This is why you don't have an Uber driver perform your open heart surgery. Trump has been a con man his entire life, giving him the keys to Oval Office is insanity.
If the race had been Kasich vs Clinton, Kasich would have had my vote. That is why I sent money to his campaign. Kasich was the best choice for the party and the nation for the GOP. Something I clearly stated back in October of 2016.
