Which states should I put in for Elk limited entry?

Getting serious about this elk hunting. What states are best? So far I'm doing Arizona and New Mexico drawings. THanks

To be honest, I would put in for all the states I could afford. Arizona is a great state but extremely hard to draw. Start building bonus points now by applying to multiple states. I apply in Nevada/Utah/Colorado/Arizona/New Mexico/and Wyoming with just the hope and prayer of drawing a good tag. Best of luck to you.

apply, apply, apply! in as many states as you can. Hook up with somebody like JFWRC, it will increase your odds in NM.

I always see this question, first you must decide how much you can afford, then decide best way to spend that money. NR elk apps to everywhere will cost nearly $1000

For sure CO, NM, Utah. Cheap and good.

Then AZ $250, WY $50. NV if you are fully aware odds of you drawing in under 10 years are extremely small, you must plan to apply for a looong time. $150 NV
